Personally I would say this place is overrated and would recommend skipping it all together. The park itself consists mainly of the road down to the beach where they filmed Jurassic Park, other than that there are a few 'trails' that you can walk down, but you never really feel 'in the jungle'. The town is just a tourist trap and there is no character. If you do feel the urge to go, then I would recommend staying in Jungle Villa (a little outside the Park Entrance) which is a small little lodge situate in the vegetation. Slightly hard to find, but the views from the rooms and communal areas are incredible, you could easily visit, spend the entire time here and be happier than visiting the park!
